39 Week Update

So, I had quite a bit of a scare Monday night. Warner started moving around spastically and did so constantly for about an hour and a half. Then, suddenly, she stopped moving all together. I didn't end up feeling her move again until yesterday afternoon. It really worried me and I was so scared! Once I felt her move I was more at ease, but still a bit nervous. Luckily, I had my appointment today and heard her little heartbeat! It almost brought tears to my eyes. The appointment went really well and I'm sure I'll have some sort of update soon!

Ready To Meet Her Baby Sister

Moby went to the "spa" on Friday in preparation for her baby sister's arrival. She had gone to the vet on Wednesday and is looking very healthy. Friday she got her bath, de-shed & trim. I must say she looks so adorable, just like a little puppy again (she's now 9!) My mom should be coming into town at the end of this week (if not needed sooner) and Moby is anticipating her arrival, as am I!

Update

I went in for my 36 week appointment this morning. I'm happy to report that all is well! My blood pressure's fabulous, my weight gain is great and warner's little heartbeat was a strong 148 bpm! I'll now be going weekly until she's born, so I go back next Friday. It's getting down to the end and I'm so excited and nervous I just about don't know what to do with myself!

Dr. Appointment

My dr. appointment went great yesterday! Little Warner's heartbeat is strong, my blood pressure's perfect & I've only gained a total of 17 lbs. during my pregnancy (though I'm still thinking I may blow up a bit before it's all over- ha!). I now start going to the dr. every 2 weeks so my next appointment is June 16. After my appointment I went on over to the hospital to pre-register. Wow, did that make it all that much more real! I'm so glad I got that done though because now it won't be quite so hectic when I get there the day of delivery!

Warner's Nursery!!!

First and foremost, before I say anything else, I have to say that I have THE BEST PARENTS! They came into town Saturday to bring me some furniture (and take some home with them.) Among the items they brought me was Warner's furniture - her dresser, bookcase and crib! So, after emptying out the guest room Dad assembled the crib and then Mom & I got to go to work with all the other furniture, accessories, etc..... My changing table is still under restoration and should be ready in time to bring home with me after my Knoxville shower and my rocking chair still needs to be fixed..... I also have yet to hang anything on the walls because I'm waiting to see where everything ends up before adding those final touches..... that said, I'll be rearranging the room, but for now it's completed enough to add things to it without feeling overwhelmed (everything was piled up in the guest bedroom and in bags..... I'm so excited and find myself continually walking by and into the nursery to look around, move things, smile..... Here are a few photos (including Moby's first look at the room)- enjoy!

I know, I know, once again it's been awhile since I've posted anything. No news is good news though, right? I can't believe I'm already 7 1/2 months along! I'd like to take moment to say how blessed and thankful I am to have such wonderful family and friends in my life. I couldn't do this without you and I can't wait for Warner to meet and love you all as much as I do!

I've been super busy and when I finally have down time I find myself unable to really do much of anything aside from stretching out in my chair and letting Warner stretch and wiggle to her little heart's content (I absolutely love that feeling, btw!)

Ok, now for a quick update as to what's been going on lately..... I went in for a routine sugar test a couple of weeks ago. This test is done to check for and diagnose gestational diabetes. Well, I got a call the next day that my levels were high after the initial 1-hour test. That said, I had to go back at the beginning of this week for a 3-hour test. After 3 LONG hours, lots of blood being drawn and no food or drink for over 12.5 hours (you have to fast starting the night before and let me tell you how especially hard that is for a pregnant woman) I am happy to say I never got a call back, meaning that all is well! My next routine appointment is June 3 and after that I start going every 2 weeks.
